San Sebastián de La Gomera, Canaries

In the morning we called the marina to have the gates opened, slipped our lines and headed out towards La Gomera. Officially it was a broad reach, but there was so little wind that we kept the engine on and motorsailed the whole way across.

Just after we left the port, two high-speed ferries passed us, one on each side. After that we had the sea to ourselves: not another ship all the way across. Tenerife's Teide rose above the clouds to the east while La Gomera's cliffs slowly got closer. A nice day on the water.
