Left A Coruña and worked southwest along the top of the Costa da Morte to Camariñas, 50.5 nm in 6h47m — flat calm, not a breath of wind worth raising the sails for, so the engine ran the entire way.
What we did here
First stop on the Costa da Morte proper. One night brought a heavy thunderstorm through the harbour, lightning striking one of the neighbouring boats — the first time we were happy not to have the tallest mast in the marina.
Otherwise filled the days with runs and hikes along the coastline, freshly caught and barbecued sardines and homemade croquetas in the local restaurants, and the typical unannounced short showers this stretch of coast is known for.
